Last Thursday night, January 16, 2014 was a special night for SM City North Wing when a bevy of beauties graced the runway as they strut their Sinulog Festival Queen costumes for everyone to witness in awe and wonder.
The event kicked off with a Sinulog beat as the dancers paid homage to our patron saint, Señor Sto. Niño then followed a parade of eleven beautiful Sinulog Festival Queen finalists wearing their colorful and grandiose costumes with pride and confidence to boot. Their costume wouldn’t be complete without the image of Señor Sto. Niño, of course.
After the presentation of judges, a last walk on the runway was given for these regal queens to show how poised they are on the ramp and how can they pull off walking on the runway with their costumes (for some with elaborate and huge backdrops they had to carry all night) as if it’s second skin to them.
There was even one candidate who slipped and fell on the floor but managed to stand and smile at the crowd as if it wasn’t a big deal and the whole crowd applauded for her graceful exit.
There were a number of queens who stood out among the rest but only two were chosen that night for the following slots: SM Sinulog Queen 2014 and SM Sinulog Runway Queen. And the titles went to the ladies from Tuburan and Carcar City, respectively.

The Sinulog Festival Queen 2014 Coronation Night will be held later tonight at 7:30 PM at the Cebu City Sports Center. So see you all there!
