Cebu’s highly anticipated fun run, Hunat Sugbu, is making a grand comeback for its 11th year. This thrilling event drew more than 2,500 enthusiastic runners in its last edition and is expected to garner even more interest this time. Renowned for fostering wellness and community camaraderie, Hunat Sugbu has established itself as a prominent fixture on Cebu’s event calendar.
This year, three categories will be available: 5K, 12K, and 21K. What sets this event apart is not just the thrilling races but also the amazing post-run activities awaiting all participants. Upon completing the race, enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet designed to recharge your energy and commemorate your success. Additionally, seize the opportunity to win fabulous raffle prizes from our supportive event sponsors.
Atty. Cenelyn Manguilimotan-Dalnay, the COO of Parklane Hotels and Resorts, expressed, “Hunat Sugbu is close to our hearts because the core organizers of the event are all passionate runners.” As a former ultramarathoner herself, she highlights how their love for running and connecting with the community motivates them to organize an event that not only encourages physical well-being but also fosters stronger community ties. Therefore, Hunat Sugbu goes beyond a simple race; it evolves into a commemoration of common beliefs and dreams.
The run is not only a representation of camaraderie and good sportsmanship but also aligns with Parklane Hotels and Resorts’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. All funds raised will support medical missions and aid its partner barangay.
The upcoming run is set to take place at Robinsons Galleria Cebu on June 23, 2024. Get ready to put on your running shoes and mark the date for an incredible event that harmonizes wellness with having a positive impact on our community. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this exciting event, which encourages fitness, camaraderie, and social responsibility.
