Talento Cebuanos 2019 Awards Talented and Exemplary Cebuanos

Talento Cebuanos 2019 will be awarding this year’s batch of talented, exemplary Cebuanos, on May 11, 2019, 1:30 PM, Saturday at the Ayala Activity Center. This is a special tribute given to a Cebuano, or adopted Cebuano, for his or her special skills and contribution to the community.

This project is spearheaded by Speechcom International with its Founder Dr. Mila C. Espina, Past President of Zonta Club of Cebu 1 and We Care Foundation and a Cultural Consultant and Former Dean of the University of San Jose-Recoletos. Talento Cebuanos 2019, inspired by the Perlas Awards of Philippines Foundation, is supported by the We Care and ALLEF Foundations, University of San Jose-Recoletos Arts and Sciences / Masscom Department and the Education Committee of the Zonta Club of Cebu 1.



A self-made young professional in PR and Marketing, Robby rose from the ranks of Global Carrier Phils., Inc. and developed his PR and marketing skills through hard work and productive partnership with media and socio-civic institutions which made him start and launch his own PR and Event Management Services, the RMA Public Relations & Marketing Services.

Robby will be awarded a citation in Success Story for Creative PR and Marketing initiatives which hopes to inspire young graduates to become self-motivated to develop lucrative livelihood to support their future families.


The only daughter of Emmanuel and Isabel Espina whose intelligence and initiative brought her to heights of academic excellence in the University of the Philippines, University of Cebu School of Law, and professional practice as a Certified Public Accountant at Sycip Gorres and Velayo to Aboitiz Construction, as a practicing CPA and law professor at the University of Cebu, and the President of Integrated Bar of the Philippines Province. With the kind of leadership she gives, she totally fits the bill as the Icon for young women professionals and empowered community leader.

That’s why the Excellent Leadership in the Academic and Legal Profession Award is worthy of her caliber.


A well-respected Fashion Designer who used his creative craftsmanship and entrepreneurship skills with a greater purpose – merging Fashion Arts and redefining the true essence of the Cebuana beauty in relevance to the cultural values of the community.

Dexter, as an Ambassador of Hablon de Cebu, serves as a footnote to young professionals in the haute couture entrepreneurship to hone their skills and uplift the dignity of womanhood amid the changing trends of global fashion. For this exemplary achievement, Dexter is deserving of the award his success in fashion craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.



The event will also showcase performances of renowned performers and former Perlas and Talento Cebuanos. Also performing are the 2019 grade and high school participants, Batch 1 of Speechcom English and Communication arts workshop, USJ-R ALLEF scholars, San Diego Dancers, Knapsack Dancers, Tawag ng Tanghalan Star Girlie Laspinas, Benedicto College Performers, Sisters of Mary, Perlas Awardees and Speechcom students.

Talento Cebuano is a special feature of Speechcom International Culminating Activity Batch One and is co-sponsored by Ayala Center Cebu.
