Boybands do come and go but there’s more to this seven member young male group that makes them stand out from the crowd. Clique5 is already making waves and breaking through the boyband market with their catchy carrier single, “Pwede Ba, Teka Muna,” from their first self-titled album.
The young male group formed last August 2017 under the management of 3:16 Events and Talent Management Company. The members are from ages 17 to 20 years old with unique appeal and talent. The group continuously hones their talents through singing, dancing and acting workshops.
Their voice lesson is being conducted by Ms. Sweet Plantado – Tiongson of The Company. Dance training, choreography and rehearsals are handled by Ms. Mia Pangyarihan of Sex Bomb Dancers and Mr. Donald Balbuena. They finished their intensive acting workshop at PETA and now they are undergoing mainstream acting workshop with Director Emman Dela Cruz.
MEET THE CLIQUE5
KARL – “CAMPUS HEARTTHROB”
He is one of the original members of Clique5. He was discovered in a pageant last August, Circle of Ten Walk to Fame with 3 other members: Marco, Sean and Josh. Noted to be a great dancer which he got from his dad who is a former dancer and member of That’s Entertainment. Karl has also appeared in the SM 3 Day Sale commercial, a former endorser Olive-C Cologne and a Manila Ambassador 2015.
MARCO – “THE HUNK”
He is a Filipino who was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. He belongs to a family of singers and mixed martial artists. He has the voice and great moves on the dance floor to boot.
SEAN – “KILABOT NG DANCE FLOOR”
He is a former member of ELEV8, a dance group who appeared in Kuya Germs’ Walang Tulugan and other TV shows.
JOSH – “CUTIE BAE”
Despite his busy schedule, he still manages to juggle studies and career. He’s also a good dancer and has appeared in TV shows.
CLAY – “SOUL BALLADEER”
He is the lead singer of the group. He used to play the guitar and sing vocals for his band during college days. He is the eldest in the group and a graduate of Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
TIM – “TEEN CRUSH”
He is one of the newest members of the group along with his brother, Rocky. They are fondly known as the Rivero brothers who are both into theater acting.
ROCKY – “BOY NEXT DOOR”
He is not only a theater actor but a great singer and dancer, too. With his charming good looks, he never fails to win a lot of hearts from his fans.
CLIQUE5: ALBUM, TV AND RADIO GUESTINGS
Clique5 recently launched their first self-titled album last February 5, 2018 with their six original songs ranging from upbeat to romantic love songs. The carrier single, “Pwede Ba, Teka Muna,” was written by Director Joven Tan. Other songs from their album are: “Ako Nalang Sana,” Bakit Hindi,” “Magmula Ngayon,” “Mabuti Nalang,” and “Sana Naman.”
They already appeared in TV shows like Umagang Kay Ganda, Unang Hirit, Letters and Music of Net25, WOW It’s Showbiz with Ms. F & Co., Ito ang Showbiz of DZAR 1026.
They also had their radio guesting stints in Inquirer 990, Pinas FM 95.5, WishBus 107.5, Tee Radio, local stations like GV 99.1 in Pampanga, DWIZ 94.3 Palawan, in Cebu radio stations: Halo Halo Radio 106.1, Love Radio Cebu 97.9, Energy FM 94.7, and YES! The Best 91.5.
They have a string of performances some malls, bars, corporate shows and school tours.

Just new in the business, Clique5 earned a Gawad Musika 2017 Award as the Outstanding Boy Band in the recent 37th Year Ender Top Consumers Choice awards last December 16, 2017.

Now they are busy preparing for their upcoming concert at Music Museum on February 27, 2018 with other special guests.
With all the TV & radio guestings, mall & corporate shows, first self-titled album released and first upcoming concert — boy, they sure have a good and promising year ahead.
The music industry and showbusiness maybe a tough feat for some but the boys’ passion for singing, dancing and acting will surely bring them to greater heights to stardom which they truly deserve.
