Being a teacher is never an easy task. The long hours at work and working overtime over endless paper works and preparation for more activities the next day is never a joke. It simply eats up your time and energy.
Three years ago, I left the teaching field and went on a sabbatical leave finding myself and my purpose in life. I came to a point that after seven long years in teaching, I got burnt out and lost the true essence of my vocation. I found myself lost and miserable. Being ineffective and incompetent teacher to my kids is the last thing I want to be remembered by them, so I left with a heavy heart.
Being away from teaching had taught me a great deal about life.
