Shopwell: Tindahan nga Masaligan

Not everyone is aware that Shopwell began as a fishing and packaging store. It was created in response to high customer demand to reach customers in Northern and Southern Cebu.

Talisay was their first branch, which opened on May 26, 2017. Shopwell is a neighborhood convenience store that sells packaging and groceries to customers living outside of Cebu City. After three years of operation, the demand in the north increased, and Shopwell Opon was born.

On March 17, 2020, Shopwell Opon opened its door to northern customers. They began as a grocery store, with baking and packaging items as their mainstays. Giving Oponganons a chance to work as well. Shopwell’s distinctive services include advance order and pick-up, as well as grocery-free delivery with the retail trade, distinguishing it from any other medium-scale convenience store. It provides customers with a convenient option. There is a wide range of items to choose from, including basic necessities, housewares, dry goods, and, soon, pharmacy.

MARKETING CAMPAIGN AND INITIATIVES

Since it opened its first store, Shopwell created Marketing activities to promote the brand and help the community. Here are some 2020 – 2022 Marketing Activities:

• Wholesaler Recruitment On Wheels – Shopwell visiting areas to introduce the brand and recruit potential wholesalers
• Masaligan Reward Program – reward through points and can be used as payment.
• Like, Tag and Share – an online campaign
• Store Signages – brand awareness and visibility
• Race to 3 million – wholesaler incentive
• Race to 6 million – wholesaler incentive (upgraded)
• Annual Parol Making Contest

It’s an exciting time for our farmers and fishermen. Shopwell also sells fishing equipment such as nets, rods, and ropes. Seedling trays, multi-purpose screens, polybags, and other related products are available at very low prices.

Shopwell envisioned opening more branches in Visayas and Mindanao as a result of customer loyalty dedication. They aimed to be the preferred neighborhood grocery store by providing customers with competitive prices, high-quality products, and a wide variety of items.
