Last week Golden Prince hotel reached out to the communities through visiting the elders at GASA sa GUGMA and the beautiful girls at DSWD Home for Girls. It was both a quick but meaningful and productive event.
Last Tuesday, August 20, 2019, the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites went to Gasa sa Gugma in Cabantan St. Mabolo, Cebu, to serenade the Nanays and Tatays. The beloved employees sang beautiful songs while some went around and engaged with our elderly. They brushed the Nanay’s hair and exchanged stories of the past with the Tatays. Sales account executive, Mevs Arriola, rendered her version of Can’t Help Falling In Love with You which brought so many tears to the elderly and to all the listeners as well. One of the Tatays sang along with her which even brought everyone to tears.
It was indeed a heartwarming morning when the Gasa sa Gugma elderly also shared their talent with the Golden Prince Hotel staff, singing their favorite songs. One of the Tatays even shared his own composition while playing his guitar to serenade the Golden Prince team. Then the team served them the hotel’s signature Ube Ensymada while the team’s talented Chef Roque sang a duet version of Matud Nila with Gasa sa Gugma’s resident songbird Nanay Auring. The team also donated towels, linens, sugar and sacks of rice to help with the supplies of the home. They ended the morning by performing the Golden Prince jingle as they bid them goodbye.
Last August 24, 2019, the Golden Prince Team together with GESLA went to DSWD Home for Girls. They opened the program with a prayer and the Executive Operations Manager, Ross Maglasang introduced the team to the girls. The talented employees showcased their talent and then the guest speaker Dr. Aldwin Jimena shared a short reorientation on proper hand wash and oral hygiene. Afterwards, the team distributed hygiene kits filled with soap, toothbrush, toothbrush, and other necessities to help implement the teaching of Doc Jimena. The girls performed a dance number for the team and also taught the Golden Prince Hotel team their dance moves. Then the team hosted games everyone participated. The team also gave away linens, towels and boxes of clothes for the girls. It was an event filled with lessons of self-love and gratefulness.
God loves a cheerful giver.
