February is an Extraordinary Arts Month for SM Seaside

SM Seaside City Cebu is going to be one massive canvas showcasing artistry. From a solid line of concerts, performances, workshops, and exhibits featuring the works of artists – in and out of Cebu as well as professionals and budding artists from major design, film, dance schools, and universities in the city. “Art will be all over Seaside. Our senses inundated,” said Ms. Marylou Neri, Regional Operations Manager for SM Seaside City Cebu as she welcomed everyone at the launching of Extraordinary Arts Month.

This is the start of a fruitful partnership with Arts Council of Cebu and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and marks its first of many art celebrations and collaborations that will be happening in SM Seaside in the years to come.

The President of the Arts Council of Cebu, Dr. Vivina Chiu stressed the realization of the month-long celebration is in line with the organization’s vision that is to generate awareness and concern to preserve our cultural heritage. And they are more inspired knowing that there is a growing number of people who value and appreciate art in different forms. “It’s very heartwarming to know that the new breed of millennials and the Gen Exers are now passionate about art using their gadgets to express themselves,” shared Chiu.
