Style ambassador and health and fitness advocate Kymberly Maitland-Smith officially launches the SOLTI Activewear line at the Quest Hotel and Conference Center on June 9, 2018, proudly designed and hand-crafted in Cebu.
SOLTI ACTIVEWEAR MEDIA LAUNCH
The young entrepreneur’s brainchild was borne out of a need to find the right kind of fit and style for swimwear. What started out as a personal preference that needed to be filled , soon became an opportunity that Kym pursued, in response to a growing demand from friends and family. SOLTI, the brand, then came to be; the word play means “SOL” (Latin for sun), and “SALTY,” which is closely associated with the sea and also sweating, a natural result of exercising.

In an effort to create a wider range for SOLTI, and in order to truly complement the healthy lifestyle that Kym continues to embody, she decided to expand SOLTI into a line that not only covered swimwear, but activewear in general – something that can be worn by sports, dance, yoga, and vacation enthusiasts.
Today, SOLTI carries items that include swim wear, sports wear and just very recently, resort wear.
A brand that stands for VERSATILITY, SOLTI’s pieces represent women of varying sizes, preferences, ages and occasions. There are body suits and separates that come in classic black and white, subdued earth tones, and bright neon hues, worn one-way or reversible – allowing two color alternatives in one piece.
The pieces can even be worn as part of a complete outfit, and can be effectively styled for work, a casual day out, or for an evening event.
SOLTI Activewear pieces are sold at Urban Lifestyle (Axis, 2nd Floor), Joan & Klaire (BTC, 1st Floor), and at Crimson Mactan Resort.
SOLTI IS A BRAND THAT GIVES BACK
This handmade Cebuano line comes from a team that is passionate about acting locally and to quote from Kymberly Maitland-Smith, “respecting the beautiful planet we call home.”
SOLTI believes in the three R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Its textiles have been recovered from fabric cast aside by large manufacturers to help reduce the need for landfill space and lessen water and air pollution. Its packaging is also reusable.
