Gabii sa Kabilin Phoneography Contest is held in partnership with Phoneography Cebu. The theme of this year’s contest is “Bangka.” It takes off from Gabii sa Kabilin’s theme “Balangay.” The bangka, sometimes called the baroto, is a fishing boat commonly used in the Visayas and other parts of the Philippines. Its distinctive design is a derivative of the balangay of old.
