For the past month under Enhanced Community Quarantine due to COVID19, I have kept myself entertained by catching up on my Korean Drama Fest either on Netflix or YouTube. While I was browsing for more titles, I chanced upon this app, VIU Philippines where it boasts of 273 Korean titles to choose from (I know, that’s quite a lot!). Good thing I was just in time that VIU is offering a good deal to all the new users!

So far, I’ve finished five titles and sorry, most in the list are starred by So Ji-Sub hahaha! Can’t help it I’ve been ‘K’rushing on him when I first watched My Secret, Terrius and I’m sure most of you can relate 🙂
Here are my fave five so far,
OH MY VENUS
Kim Young-ho (So Ji-Sub), a.k.a. John Kim, is a personal trainer to Hollywood stars. Despite his family’s wealth, Young-ho suffered a devastating illness in his childhood. But he believes living a healthy lifestyle and exercise is the only way to survive. He uses this to run from his family issues. His fear of his father and pity for his grandmother. A Hollywood scandal with an actress has him on the run back to Korea.
Kang Joo-eun (Shin Min-a) was once an ulzzang in her teens, semi-famous for her pretty face and enviable figure. Now a 33-year-old lawyer, she has gained a lot of weight since. She passes out on a flight from the U.S. back to Korea and John Kim is the only medical personnel on the flight who takes charge. He watches out for her even after they arrive home. After getting dumped by her boyfriend, Im Woo-shik, she finds that she has the press pass for John Kim and proceeds to (blackmail) convince him to help her lose the weight.
She discovers that Young-ho has a weakness for being a knight in shining armor. She moves in with him, Ji-woong (Henry Lau) and Joon-sung (Sung Hoon) aka Korean Snake, after a stalking incident, and also his brother needing money for marriage anyway caused her to sell her apartment. As they work on her physical transformation, both discover they feel more for each other than what they will admit. As they grow closer they heal each other’s emotional wounds and fall in love.
WHAT’S WRONG WITH SECRETARY KIM?
The plot revolves around the ambitious Vice Chairman of a major corporation, Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon), and his highly capable secretary, Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young). Misunderstandings arise when she announces that she will resign from her position, after working for Lee Young-joon for nine years.
MY SECRET, TERRIUS (TERRIUS BEHIND ME)
A woman named Go Ae-rin (Jung In-sun) loses her husband. Along with her neighbor Kim Bon (So Ji-sub), who was an NIS agent, they discover the truth behind her husband’s involvement in a huge conspiracy.
GHOST (PHANTOM)
Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji-Sub) is the only son of a high ranking police officer. After he passes away in an incident, his classmate, Park Gi Young (Choi Daniel), also a professional hacker, decides to take over Woo Hyun’s identity. Gi Young uses his hacker techniques to crack all kinds of homicide cases and resolve the crisis. With the unfolding of the cases, Gi Young and his colleagues work hard together to disclose the real identity of the Phantom and try to bring him to justice. Will the Phantom manage to escape scot-free in the end?
THE MASTER’S SUN
Johann Joo (So Ji-Sub) is the stingy and greedy CEO of Kingdom, a conglomerate that includes a major department store and hotel. He meets the gloomy Sunny Tae (Gong Hyo-Jin) who started seeing ghosts after a weird accident. Their lives take a new turn as they work together to deal with the terror and sadness brought about by the spirits while delving into a kidnapping incident in Johann’s past.
