Lamoiyan Corporation rolls out Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4

Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo rolls out Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4, a yearly nationwide shampoo activity in its commitment to battle head lice infestation or pediculosis and eliminate the social stigma associated with it.

In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Lamoiyan Corporation will visit thirty (30) schools nationwide and targets to shampoo around 6,000 head lice infested students. Sample sachet products will also be distributed within the surrounding communities through this activity.

Contrary to popular belief, the persistent ailment does not only affect children or people who do not practice good hygiene. Through this year’s campaign, Lamoiyan Corporation aims to emphasize that pediculosis can happen to any people regardless of hair length, gender, age, and even social class.

“For the past years, Lamoiyan was able to raise awareness and debunked misconceptions surrounding pediculosis by spreading the correct information. Head lice infestation can occur to anyone and hopefully, people would start helping affected individuals rather than discriminating because it is a concern that has a solution,” shared Lamoiyan Corporation Marketing Director Ruby Rose Cavestany.

Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo initiated in 2016 the Kilusang Kontra Kuto, a coalition that has been battling head lice infestation nationwide for a kuto-free Philippines.

Now in its fourth year, Lamoiyan has partnered again with industry leaders such as DepEd, Drugstores Association of the Philippines (DSAP), and Mommy Bloggers Philippines to further spread the correct information about pediculosis and widely reach the grassroots.

 

 

KILUSANG KONTRA KUTO YEAR 4 IN CEBU

Last September 30, 2019, the Licealiz Kilusang Kontra Kuto team visited the Labangon Bliss Elementary School in Cebu City where they conducted educational talks about head lice and free shampooing activity to hundreds of students.

First, there was a health talk on lice infestation and myth-busters about the persistent ailment among elementary kids. The activity then culminated in a shampoo activity wherein the pupils had their hair shampooed with Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo. Then they were made to wait for ten minutes before rinsing off the product. So while waiting, they were treated with a cool coloring activity that utilizes a coloring book with a story of a little girl named Kathy who was infested with lice and eventually got rid of the parasites. Afterward, they had a ring toss game that got the kids too excited. The winning team received pencils as their prize.
