A Taste of Home at Balay sa Busay

A couple of days ago, I got a special invitation to check out the latest food from Balay sa Busay and at the back of my mind, eating homecooked meals with a great view is something you should never miss out on. So off I went to Busay with my friends from the print and social media.

Balay sa Busay is a new modern-Filipino food destination in Busay, Cebu which offers an unhindered view of the city landscape and ocean view with a cool breeze, providing a pleasurable dining experience.

Whether it’s a casual day out or a special celebration with family and friends, Balay sa Busay provides a much-desired breather for busy city folks.

The restaurant is inspired by old Filipino ancestral house in the province with a perfect blend of old and new elements — a transitional style featuring traditional and modern furniture and fictures. The spacious interiors give diners the option to dine in the air-conditioned room or open veranda which provides a panoramic view of Cebu.

Food Trailing in Balay sa Busay was indeed a celebration of flavors and a breathtaking dining experience, as well!

You can tell from each sumptuous dish that it is created out of pure love for food that’s meant to be shared with family and friends.

My personal favorites are: Chickenillo (no need to add sauce to it because it burst with flavors), refreshing Pomelo salad, Pochero Rice (I love how spicy it is and how it is was prepared), Shrimps in Buko (something new in my palate that I enjoyed layering the shrimps with buko and the MELTED CHEESE! Oooh la la!), and of course the Adobong Binisaya ni Bebe! (I totally lost count of how many adobo pieces I’ve devoured throughout the meal lols)

I went home with a smile on my face thinking of the gastronomic feast I just had! Definitely, worth the trip!
