Philippines to host World Robot Olympiad Invitational 2018

The World Robot Olympiad is an international Robotics Competition that challenges students across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines. WRO encourages students to develop soft skills like teamwork, innovation and creativity while having fun and meeting new friends from all over the world
The Philippines, through FELTA Multi-Media Inc. in partnership with City of Lapu Lapu led by Mayor Paz Radaza and Department of Education -Lapu Lapu City, Superintendent Dr. Marilyn Andales will host the World Robot Olympiad Friendship Invitational 2018 in Hoops Dome, Lapu Lapu City, Cebu from August 31-September 2, 2018. The WRO Friendship invitational 2018 is the largest and most prestigious international Robotics competition in the Philippines for this year.

World Robot Olympiad Friendship invitational is in partnership with City of Lapu Lapu, Department of Education -Lapu Lapu City, Science Education Institute Department of Science & Technology (SEI-DOST), GLOBE Telecoms, Microsoft, RFM Corporation, Plantation Bay Spa & Resort, Nature’s Spring , Marie Ernestine School and Cebu Pacific Airlines.
Participating countries are: China, Chinese Taipei, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, USA, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Philippines, Romania, Hungary and Ukraine.
