Last night, our family dinner theme was Thai and ended up in IT Park since Ayala Terraces was closed coz of the holiday. I had mixed feelings with Blue Elephant coz of a bad review I’ve read in this forum but my sister was too stubborn and my Dad was so grumpy and hungry so off we went to the B.E.
We were off to a good start since we were accomodated to our table inside and I noticed the whole interior akin to its sister resto, Krua Thai (one of my faves) but I especially love the gray color theme of the whole resto. In the background, they’re spinning bossa nova music (not really my thing).
The menu was enticing enough and noticed it’s a tad bit costly. They have same-o same-o array of thai food to choose from compared to other restos I’ve been to. Here are the stuffs which we ordered that night…
Fried Crab Rice (can be served for two persons… though the server lied about it… he told us twas only a small portion — minus brownie points for that)
Padd Thai Noodles (it has a nutty texture to it.. not too remarkable for me)
Fried Prawns with Spicy Sauce (tastes good and crunchy)
Rotti with peanut curry sauce (the sauce didn’t cut it to my fave-o-meter, I still like the ones in Spice and Fusion in SM North wing)
Grilled Spare Ribs with BBQ sauce (I love its tender meat and grilled just right for my taste)
Sticky Rice with Mango (this one tops my list! I’m replacing Cafe laguna’s SMT’s reign over this one though the serving is tooo small, the taste somehow compensates for it)
Thai Spring Rolls (I love the taste of the rolls which is best compared to krua’s and banana leaf’s)
Frozen Lemonade (not too sweet which am loving it!)
Score Card: 1 (lowest) -5 (highest)
