An Advice from the Once-Brokenhearted

It’s inevitable that we get our hearts broken right after a moment of bliss with our loved ones… and the only way to go is to bury the hatchet and move on…

yup.. but how? our family and friends may have taught us how to be strong and pick up the pieces… we may find ourselves counting the number of days, months or even years that we can finally say,

“I’m over him!”

But how can we really forget the person and the feelings altogether? Along the way when I did my best to forget someone, I’ve come up with these things which have helped me along the path of my recovery.. I’m not saying I’m fully healed but I’m getting there which is a good thing… I’m in no rush at all, so taking one baby step each day at a time really does wonders… and I hope these things will work for you, as well…

don’t go for signs that he/she is coming back… coz that’s not gonna happen…
why would he/she leave you out in the cold to begin with…

allow yourself to grieve… cry it all out til the last drop… cleanse your soul…

go out and enjoy!

if u ever do meet someone, don’t assume that he/she is going to fill up your void when you were heartbroken coz he or she isn’t meant to make you whole…ideally, you have to be whole again for you to love again.. so enjoy the company first…

MINGLE ALOT OF PEEPS…

don’t pattern your next love story to any fairytale you’ve read when you were still lil…coz they’re just messing up your mind..

date a lot para matagbaw ka… if you are now ready to settle with only one person

mean it like you really want it…don’t let him/her be someone’s replacement…

coz who knows, he or she might be the one to complement your whole being
